VINEYARDS-PERFORMANCES
Selection of plots of old vines from 15 to 25 years old, from Rioja
High (85%) and Rioja Alavesa (15%).
Low yields of 40 HL / ha average.
SOILS
Mostly clayey-calcareous. Plots of Rioja Alta with ferrous sub-soil.
DOMINATING CLIMATE
Atlantic, temperate type, with differentiated seasons.
VINTAGE
Plot to plot completely manual.
VINIFICATION
Clusters crushed and destemmed. Alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature that starts at 10ºC until reaching 28ºC. Maceration with the skins prolonged up to 20 days, in order to extract more color, aromas and tannic structure. Malolactic fermentation in new split French oak barrels or in stainless steel tanks, depending on the wine items. Once the malolactic fermentation is finished, all the wines pass into barrels with trasiega every 6 months.
TOTAL STAY IN BARREL
12 months in split French oak barrels (60%) and American (40%). They are 25% of new barrels, 25% of two-year barrels, 25% of three-year barrels and 25% of maximum four-year barrels.

1 year minimum before the launch date.
TASTING NOTE
Nice coat with bright flashes. Nose dotted with notes of soft spices and fine wood on a creamy background of red berries. Sweet, sweet mouth, its tannic plot merges with ripe and fresh fruit in a friendly set. Long, tasty at the end of tasting.
