Eight botanicals create the unique aroma of Voortrekker: juniper, South African oranges, licorice, vanilla, coriander, angelica root, lemon peel and ginger.

The brand name and symbol also evoke a pioneering story: that of the African adventure of Dutch settlers known as voortrekkers, a word meaning "those who go before". The cross was their flag.

Made from 100% wheat, it is distilled three times using traditional methods, in small 200-litre copper pot stills.

Fresh, whole South African oranges are used in a first maceration prior to distillation, which gives it a unique and different aroma. Tasting: Its subtle and attractive orange colour makes it stand out; on the nose, its star botanical, fresh orange, predominates, accompanied by delicate aromas reminiscent of black pepper and nutmeg. On the palate, it is intense and refreshing, with a very integrated alcohol, complex taste and a long, elegant finish.
