From the heart of Wales, in the Brecon Beacons National Park, this gin is made using five batch distillations in a copper still, following a centuries-old recipe. The botanicals that nuance its flavour are juniper, coriander, liquorice, cinnamon, lemon and orange peel, nutmeg, cassia, orris root and angelica.
A Welsh reserve gin of 40.0% alc./vol., obtained by traditional quintuple distillation in batches, with a single copper still designed by Dr. David Faraday.
The botanicals used are juniper, orange and lemon peel, coriander, licorice, cinnamon, cassia, nutmeg, angelica and Florence root.
The final product is crystal-clear and clean, light-bodied, not particularly aromatic, although juniper, herbs and citrus are noticeable. It has a very balanced flavour, slightly sweet with the alcohol very well integrated.
This gin is made using a formula that dates back over a hundred years by Penderyn Distillery in Wales. It is a small distillery located in the Brecon Beacons National Park, using the waters that flow through the area.
It is presented in a 75 cl. cylindrical, transparent, high-necked bottle. The label is silk-screened and the drawings of the botanical components are visible vertically.
