Tasting notes

• Appearance: Three shades from intense red to rosy. Marbled fat sheen and small crystals from the gradual and slow curing process.
• Aroma: Intense, long-lasting, with hints of acorn, wet grass, thyme. Toasted, woody nuances.
• Texture: The main muscle is soft, juicy, unctuous. The tip and hock have a more fibrous, firm, and compact consistency.
• Flavor: The unique flavor of Cinco Jotas ham has hints of acorn, toasted hazelnuts, wet wood, and wildflowers. Sweeter and fattier at the tip.

Storage and consumption

Store in a cool, dry place. For preservation, once cut, cover the cut surface with a slice of white fat from the ham itself and cover with a cotton cloth.
