• A bottle of Mibal Crianza (DO Ribera de Duero)

Mibal Crianza is a red wine from the DO Ribera del Duero produced by Hornillos Ballesteros, a winery founded by Miguel Hornillos and Javier Ballesteros, both from different families of winegrowers. This wine has been made with grapes of the Tinta del País variety (100%) from their own vineyard with 18-year-old vines. The harvest is carried out in 12 kg boxes, it goes through a thorough selection where the bunches of inferior quality are removed and passed to the destemmer where they are crushed or go directly to the pump that gently transports them to the tanks. Regarding its production, the maceration period was 20 days at a controlled temperature up to a maximum of 25ºC with destemmed and whole grapes to preserve all the fruity aromas of the grape, malolactic fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks, then it was aged on fine lees, later it was clarified and before bottling it underwent a slight fermentation. filtration. It is an extraordinary crianza.
