Marqués de Cáceres Rioja Red Reserve
Made exclusively in the best vintages with varieties 90% Tempranillo, 10% other varieties. The Marqués de Cáceres Reserva is a wine that arises from the selection of parcels of old vines, from Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa.
VINIFICATION
Stemless bunches with the utmost care. Alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature. Prolonged maceration with the skins in order to extract more color, aromas and tannic structure. Malolactic fermentation in oak barrels and stainless steel tank. After malolactic fermentation is complete, all wines are transferred to fine-grained French oak barrels. Subsequent racking every 6 months.
TOTAL TIME IN BARREL
20 months in French oak barrels, divided equally between new barrels and one and two year old barrels.
AGING IN BOTTLE
At least 2 years before marketing.
CATA'S NOTES
Dark and dense ruby color. Refined and complex aroma with a touch of cherry, vanilla and soft toasted notes. Balanced in the mouth, where silky and well-defined tannins combine with exquisite flavors to reveal a pleasant fullness. This Reserve firmly follows in the footsteps of the 2012 vintage, which was awarded with prestigious awards. Serve at 17 ºC
